Just an idea I'd like to throw into your general hopper for
improvement down the road:
Earlier - Later Topic Links
Add Earlier and Later Topics links at bottom of Topics, Posts, etc. lists
Folks have to scroll back up to the topic of the topic list to then
click earlier to go back in time - offer this option at the bottom as
well as the top. You do this with your links at the bottom of the
Summary of posts list already.
You might also consider add the Earlier/Later links to actual topics
at the bottom of a specific Topic post as well.

Duplicating the Earlier and Later links at the top and bottom of the
topic search, post search, file search, topics, posts, posts summary and
topic pages is worth thinking about when we next look at the design of
those pages.
For those folks who would like an interim solution, you can use Opera or
the Link Widgets add on for Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2933
Both of these will give you “toolbar buttons for the first, previous,
next, and last page” links. I would not be surprised if there was an
alternative for Safari too.
