I'm just looking at search optimisation, and one of the best ways to
optimise such a thing is to increase cacheability.
One way to increase cacheability *and* provide a nice way for users to
find relevant information quickly would be to provide a cloudmap of the
most frequently searched terms. Another benefit would be that it shows
what is *actually* popular on the site, rather than just what we *guess*
is popular.
I love the idea of a cloud-map of searches! It shows people what others think
in interesting, rather than what the posters think is interesting. I will
create a Trac ticket for this now, and schedule it for Sorbet.
